1 Introduction & Corporate Identity

This Privacy Policy describes how Classkar Edtech Private Limited, an entity incorporated under the provisions of the (Indian) Companies Act, 2013, having its registered office in Hazaribag, Jharkhand, India, collects, uses, stores, processes, discloses, and protects personal data obtained through our website (classkar.com), mobile applications (ClassKar Parent App and ClassKar Educator App), in-home diagnostic assessments, physical educational sessions, and related educational services (collectively, the "Services").

By registering on the platform, scheduling an in-home assessment, onboarding as an educator, or using our mobile application, you express full acknowledgment and consent to the data practices described in this policy.


2 Categories of Information We Collect

In order to provide specialized 1-to-1 in-home physical education up to Class 5 and perform thorough educator vetting, we collect the following categories of information:

A. Parent / Legal Guardian Information

Full name, contact telephone/WhatsApp number, residential delivery address (for in-home educator visits), email address, relationship with student, emergency contact details, and billing/tax identification data.

B. Minor Student Information (Under 18 Years)

Child's first name, age/grade (Class 1 to 5), school name, learning diagnostics, cognitive strengths and learning gaps, daily attendance, weekly in-app subject score telemetry, and physical worksheet progress. All minor information is collected solely with verifiable parental/guardian consent as required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

C. Educator / Candidate Information

Full name, government photo identity verification (Aadhaar / Voter ID / Passport / Driving License), permanent and current address verification, educational degrees, resume, language fluency recordings, police verification documents, background verification reports, and bank account / UPI details for payout disbursements.

D. Device & Technical Telemetry

Device manufacturer, operating system, IP address, unique device identifiers, in-app feature interaction logs, crash analytics, and GPS geo-location for educator session check-in verification at scheduled student home premises.


3 Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

ClassKar processes your personal information strictly for legitimate educational, verification, and transactional purposes under Indian law:

  • In-Home Educational Delivery: Coordinating physical session schedules, assigning qualified educators to student homes, and conducting diagnostic academic assessments.
  • AI Curriculum Personalization: Tailoring individual learning pathways for Class 1-5 students through proprietary assessment tools.
  • Safety & Background Verification: Conducting 3-tier safety checks, police verification, identity audits, and reference verification of educators entering private residences.
  • Central Assessment Oversight: Enabling the central ClassKar Assessment Team to monitor session logs, weekly test scores, and educator pedagogical compliance.
  • App Tracking & Parent Communication: Providing parents with daily transparent lesson logs, test report cards, and educator ratings via the ClassKar Parent App.
  • Legal & Statutory Compliance: Complying with applicable tax, financial accounting, and regulatory directives issued by Indian government authorities.

4 Protection of Children's Privacy (DPDPA 2023 Compliance)

ClassKar recognizes the paramount sensitivity of young learners up to Class 5. In strict conformity with Section 9 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:

We never process data of a child that causes or is likely to cause detrimental effect on the well-being of a child.
We do not undertake behavioral monitoring, targeted tracking, or commercial advertising directed at minor students.
Verifiable parental consent is mandatory before enrolling any student or logging academic progress.

5 Data Disclosure & Sharing Policy

ClassKar does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for commercial advertising. Information is shared solely with trusted parties under strict confidentiality:

  • Assigned Educators: Student first name, grade, address, and academic diagnostic summaries are shared strictly with the assigned educator for in-home lesson delivery.
  • Background Verification Agencies: Educator KYC and identity documents are shared with certified third-party verification agencies for criminal and credential checks.
  • Technology Infrastructure Providers: Cloud servers, database hosts, and secure SMS/WhatsApp gateway providers operating under encrypted enterprise agreements with data centers located in India.
  • Legal & Regulatory Authorities: Where required by valid warrant, court order, or statutory decree under applicable Indian laws.

6 Data Security & Storage Standards

We deploy industry-standard technical, operational, and physical security measures compliant with Rule 8 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011. Data in transit is protected using SSL/TLS 256-bit encryption, and stored databases are secured with multi-factor authentication and role-based access control.


7 Data Principal Rights (Access, Correction & Deletion)

Under applicable Indian data privacy regulations, parents, guardians, and educators hold the following rights:

  • Right to Access: Request a summary of personal information held about you or your enrolled ward.
  • Right to Correction & Erasure: Request the correction of inaccurate details or the erasure of personal data that is no longer required for active educational services.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for ongoing data processing, subject to cessation of associated in-home education or educator platform access.
